- Dates. Nominations are accepted from 12:00 p.m. CT on October 22, 2026, through 11:59 p.m. CT on November 15, 2026.
- Who can be nominated. A vet tech or vet assistant who works with horses in the United States. You may nominate a coworker, but not yourself.
- How the winner is chosen. It all comes down to your nomination. Our judges choose the winner based on the information the nominator provides, whether that is the form on this page or a comment on our Facebook or Instagram post, so do not hold back. Tell us what this person does, who they have helped, and why it matters. Every nomination is read and scored on care and commitment to horses and their owners, impact on the veterinary team or practice, and clarity and sincerity. It is not a random drawing.
