EPL Vet Tech Appreciation Nomination: Official Rules

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. THIS IS A SKILL-BASED NOMINATION CONTEST. THE WINNER WILL BE SELECTED BY JUDGES BASED ON THE CRITERIA BELOW, NOT BY RANDOM DRAWING.

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta Platforms, Inc., Facebook, or Instagram. By entering, each entrant releases Meta Platforms, Inc., Facebook, and Instagram from any and all liability in connection with this promotion.

1.Sponsor

2.Promotion Period

The EPL Vet Tech Appreciation Nomination (the “Promotion”) begins at 12:00 p.m. CT on October 22, 2026, and ends at 11:59 p.m. CT on November 15, 2026 (the “Promotion Period”). Sponsor’s clock is the official timekeeper. Nominations received outside the Promotion Period will not be considered.

3.Eligibility

Nominators. Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in their state of residence, if older) at the time of entry.

Nominees. A nominee must be a veterinary technician, veterinary technologist, veterinary nurse, or veterinary assistant who works with horses in the United States and is at least 18 years old. A nominator may nominate a coworker. A nominator may not nominate themselves.

Excluded. Employees, officers, directors, and contractors of Sponsor (including social media and marketing contractors), their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, and their respective spouses), and people living in the same household as any of them are not eligible to enter or to win.

The Promotion is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

4.How to Enter

There are two ways to enter during the Promotion Period:

1. Social media. Comment on the Sponsor’s official Promotion post on the EPL Facebook Page or Instagram account with (a) the nominee’s name and (b) a short explanation of why the nominee deserves recognition.
2. Online form. Complete the nomination form at https://equineperformancelabs.com/vet-tech-nomination.html, including your name, your email address, the nominee’s name, the nominee’s practice or employer, and a short explanation of why the nominee deserves recognition.

Tagging other accounts, sharing the post, following any account, or liking any page is not required to enter and will not improve a nomination’s chances of winning.

Limit. Each nominator may submit up to one (1) nomination during the Promotion Period. Each nominee can win only once, no matter how many times they are nominated. Entries generated by script, macro, bot, or other automated means are void.

Content standards. Nominations must be the nominator’s original words. They must not contain obscene, offensive, defamatory, or discriminatory content, confidential patient or client information, or statements about specific medical treatments or products. Sponsor may disqualify any nomination that does not meet these standards.

5.Judging and Winner Selection

After the Promotion Period ends, a panel of Sponsor representatives will review all eligible nominations and select one (1) winning nominee based on the following criteria:

• Demonstrated care and commitment to horses and their owners (50%)
• Impact on the veterinary team or practice described in the nomination (30%)
• Clarity and sincerity of the nomination (20%)

If there is a tie, the judges will choose the nomination with the highest score for the first criterion. The judges’ decisions are final and binding on all matters relating to the Promotion.

6.Prize

One (1) winner (the nominee) will receive one (1) gift basket of veterinary team appreciation items selected by Sponsor.

The prize will not include any equicenta® CTM product, product samples, or any veterinary drug or biologic.

The prize cannot be transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for cash, except that Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize is unavailable. The winner is responsible for any applicable taxes.

7.Winner Notification

Sponsor will contact the nominator and the winning nominee by direct message or email on or about November 20, 2026. The winner must respond and confirm a shipping address within seven (7) days of the notification. If the winner does not respond, cannot be reached, is found ineligible, or does not comply with these Official Rules, the prize will be forfeited and Sponsor may select an alternate winner from the remaining eligible nominations using the same criteria.

Employer gift policies. Some veterinary practices limit gifts to staff. Before the prize is awarded, Sponsor may confirm with the winner that accepting it is consistent with their employer’s policy. If the winner cannot accept the prize, Sponsor may, at its discretion, offer it to the winner’s practice for the team or select an alternate winner.

8.Publicity

Except where prohibited by law, by participating, the nominator and the winning nominee agree that Sponsor may use their names, social media handles, city and state, practice name, and the text of the winning nomination for promotional purposes in any media, without further compensation. Sponsor will ask for the winning nominee’s permission before publicly announcing them. Sponsor will not share any patient, client, or animal health information.

9.Privacy

Information collected in connection with the Promotion will be used to administer the Promotion and as described in Sponsor’s Privacy Policy at https://equineperformancelabs.com/privacy-policy.html. Submitting a nomination through the online form does not subscribe you to marketing emails unless you separately opt in.

10.General Conditions

Sponsor may cancel, suspend, or modify the Promotion if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs its integrity or proper functioning. Sponsor may disqualify anyone found to be tampering with the entry process or acting in violation of these Official Rules.

Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected entries; for technical, network, or computer malfunctions; or for any errors in the administration of the Promotion.

11.Release and Limitation of Liability

By entering, each nominator, and by accepting the prize, the winning nominee, agrees to release and hold harmless Sponsor, Meta Platforms, Inc., Facebook, Instagram, and their respective affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all claims, losses, or damages arising out of participation in the Promotion or the acceptance, use, or misuse of the prize.

12.Disputes and Governing Law

These Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.

13.Winner Name

To request the winner’s name, send an email to info@equineperformancelabs.com with the subject line “Vet Tech Nomination Winner” within thirty (30) days after the Promotion Period ends.

14.Agreement to Rules

By entering, nominators agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor and the judges.
